Review: Spaghetti – Rondo Theatre

Spaghetti westerns, and there were over 700 of them, changed the face of cowboy movies forever. The mythology, grandeur, “injuns” and honour were gone.

Croon Productions bring the soundtrack, violence and humour to puppetry with the help of two imaginatively adaptable pianos.

Saloon bar shootout, bank robbery and cross country pursuit all feature. Included are many references to the Sergio Leone westerns, so it helps if you know them.

Just a pair of busy puppeteers maintain the action and I’m not quite sure what age group will enjoy the action best, but all ages at The Rondo seemed to appreciate it.
