The Ringmaster (Lottie Johnson) creates an easy relationship with the young audience, ensuring interaction and participation.
There is much to like in this piece; the storytelling is perfectly paced whilst the props and puppetry designs are wonderfully crafted and nimble enough to make them believable.
Whilst the story of long lost traditional circus and perhaps the tricks displayed would be new to the young audience, the dexterity of the puppets and energy of the Ringmaster ensure the pace allows it to unfold with ease.
Pop-up books, magic hats and many tricks surprise the children and adults alike.
The warmth of the Ringmaster alongside the relationship developed preshow is reflected in the many willing participants to join the circus tricks onstage.
This is a warm and loving show with a big heart which holds all ages with ease and with a running time of 40mins it is a perfect escape to a world of wonder, transported to another time and place.
