The Chairman of Bath & North East Somerset Council, Councillor Martin Veal, is to launch an art exhibition in The Guildhall in Bath on Wednesday 6th August.
The exhibition is by Bath’s Samuel Lindup, a multidisciplinary artist, seen as amongst the Bath and Bristol art scenes as a ‘mover and shaker’.
The exhibition is entitled ‘Are dreams only dreams?’ and is a collection of drawings and paintings (with moving parts) exploring the romantic metaphors of life.
Since graduating with a 2:1 in Drawing for Fine Art Practice, Samuel has pursued his art career determinedly. Exploring media beyond drawing, he has discovered new themes which are important to him.
Councillor Veal said: “It is import to support local artists, break the boundaries of conventional art and allow their work to reach a wider audience.”
The exhibition will run from 7th August – 3rd September at The Guildhall.
