As the Council comes closer to completing the regeneration of Keynsham town centre, the Civic Centre car park will need to temporarily closed so that its access road can be upgraded.

_

This upgrade work is scheduled to take place from 4th to 8th August.

The works are necessary to replace the worn-out road surface and will require the access road to be closed for the full week, which in turn will prevent access to the car park.

The contractor, Willmott Dixon, will be erecting signage to give advance notice of the works.

The Council would like to thank residents, shoppers, and local businesses for their patience whilst this important phase of work takes place.

Cllr Paul Crossley (Lib-Dem, Southdown), Leader of Council, said: “This is part of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s continuing regeneration of Keynsham town centre and we are working hard with traders to minimise any disruption for all concerned.”

The Keynsham town centre redevelopment includes a new civic centre and public services one stop shop, library and community facilities as well as a range of retail.

More information about the town centre regeneration can be found on the Council website at www.bathnes.gov.uk/keynshamregen.
