VisitBath, Bath BID and The Pig Guide are inviting local businesses to join the Great Bath Feast and help create a fortnight of gastronomic delights that will showcase Bath’s varied and vibrant food scene.
Now in its fifth year, the Great Bath Feast will return to the city this autumn (23rd September to 8th October) for a fortnight long culinary celebration.
From independent restaurants, pubs and cafes to local food producers, Bath’s businesses will come together to give locals and visitors the chance to taste exotic flavours, develop new skills and enjoy exciting culinary experiences.
By associating with an award-winning event which drives 30,000 visits to www.greatbathfeast.co.uk and generates £64,000 worth of press coverage businesses have the chance to increase awareness, footfall and customer loyalty as well as driving traffic to their own website and increase their social media profile.
Visit Bath, The Bath BID and Pig Guide are calling on local businesses to come up with imaginative ideas to create a calendar bursting with events and promotions.
Ideas that have been successful in previous years include gourmet dinners, talks and tastings, cookery demonstrations, foraging adventures and foodie tours.
Great Bath Feast 2017 coincides with Organic Food Month and British Fortnight so businesses could highlight British and organic food already on their menu or experiment with new dishes using locally sourced or organic ingredients.
And, with the city celebrating two big anniversaries this year, businesses could come up with Jane Austen themed event or celebrate the creation of the iconic Royal Crescent.
The Great Bath Feast will launch with the Bath Good Food Awards Gala Dinner (24th September). Held at the new Apex City of Bath Hotel, this gala evening will champion the very best food and drink in the city.
The Tenner Treat promotion is back offering autumn treats in venues across the city. From a light lunch with a drink to tea for two for a tenner or even an amazing cocktail and canapé combination, the possibilities are endless.
David James, Chief Executive of Visit Bath said: “The Great Bath Feast is a superb way to showcase the quality of the food and drink on offer in our city and drive footfall into our bars and restaurants.”
