The community farm, which occupies 37 acres of green space, will be open from 9.30am to 4pm with its farm animals, nature trail, children’s playground and cafe all available to enjoy.

The community cafe will be open from 10am to 3pm on Sundays, offering a special brunch menu.

The cafe serves a seasonal menu and uses ingredients grown on the site.

Sunday brunch dishes will include pancakes and a halloumi breakfast. There will also be a Farmer’s breakfast and Gardener’s breakfast amongst others.

The launch of Sunday opening coincides with the introduction of a new Garden Shop and Farm Shop at the farm, located just outside the cafe and within the cafe itself.

The Garden Shop sells a range of plants from £2 which have been sown, grown and tended by the farm’s wellbeing volunteers.

They include flowers for pollinators such as cornflowers, vegetables such as courgettes, artichokes and french beans, herbs, seeds and pots.

The Farm Shop sells a range of locally sourced products, alongside the farm’s own reared meat.

All profits from the cafe, farm shop and garden shop will be reinvested into the Bath City Farm charity.

Farm Director Brendan Tate Wistreich said: “The Farm is a wonderful place for families, older and young members of the community, to spend time.

“Sunday is a special day to relax and enjoy local green spaces, so what better place to spend it than Bath City Farm.”
