The American Museum in Bath is set to host a fair on Saturday 1st July, inviting local residents to celebrate Independence Day at the only museum of Americana outside the United States.

The Independence Day Fair and BBQ on Saturday 1st July from 10.30am – 5.00pm will offer fun, games and entertainment for the whole family.

Also, for the first time, the Museum will be open from 10.30am-5.00pm.

Expect outdoor fun for all the family: American football, cheerleading, classic fairground games, bouncy castle, under 5 inflatable play zone, craft activities, lip-smacking food from Spitfire BBQ, and live music from The Frukes and an Elvis tribute act.

For the second year running, the American Museum will host a baking competition at the event. The theme of the competition is ‘America’.

This year the winners will have their entry recreated and featured on the menu in the American Museum’s Café for one month.

For more information, contact Charlie Hartshorn, Events Officer, via [email protected].

Charlie said: “It’s a wonderful day out for the whole family, so come along, picnic on the lawns and relax in a gorgeous setting.”
