Bath in Fashion 2014 has announced its week-long programme for 2014, celebrating the extraordinary creative energy in the British fashion industry whilst taking a nostalgic look back to fashion by BIBA as it reaches its 50th birthday.
Bath in Fashion 2014 promises an exciting and eclectic programme where Bath’s businesses put fashion centre stage.
The programme showcases Summer ’14 fashions on the catwalk, brings fashion celebrities and authors to share their style and stimulate debate, and stages hands-on workshops, style counsel, exhibitions and installations.
Five years since its inception, Bath in Fashion has established itself as one of the most talked about fashion gatherings outside London celebrating fashion, textiles, and art with headliners including Manolo Blahnik, Roland Mouret, Stephen Jones and Amanda Wakeley.
Managed and funded by the Bath BID Company in conjunction with Bath Tourism Plus, the festival is a collaborative effort by hundreds of Bath businesses to highlight Bath’s fashion credentials.
Bath in Fashion’s Chair Sarah Mansfield, Director of Milsom Place, said: “The festival portrays fashionable Bath with fashion businesses in the city bringing together top contemporary designers, commentators, photographers and illustrators to our World Heritage City. Always stimulating, innovative and diverse, Bath in Fashion is inspiring and fun.’’
Andrew Cooper, Bath BID Company Manager, said: “Bath in Fashion offers businesses across the city the opportunity to showcase the season’s fashion both on the catwalk and with their own in-store events and promotions. We also offer sponsorship opportunities for levy payers and businesses keen to align themselves with such a high profile event.”
Bath based Heffers Design has created a new brand for the Bath in Fashion launch featuring black and white street style photography of fashionable people in the city capturing the essence of contemporary Bath.
