A36 near Bath closed following ‘serious collision’ between a car and lorry

The A36 and a number of other roads in the area have been closed following a serious collision between a car and an articulated lorry near Hinton Charterhouse.

The incident happened at around 1.30pm this afternoon.

The A36 has been closed between the Beckington roundabout and the traffic lights at the bottom of Brassknocker Hill.

Avon and Somerset Police say they road is likely to remain closed for some time.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route.

Roads around the A36 at Hinton Charterhouse have been closed following a serious RTC. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
