City of Bath men’s 1st XI have a perfect record from 14 games in the league – but they lost to the British Army in the Vase

City of Bath boast a perfect record of 14 wins from 14 matches in West Hockey West Men’s Division 2 East – but they suffered a defeat in the England Hockey Men’s Tier 3 Vase last weekend.

The men’s 1st XI hosted their British Army counterparts at Kingswood School on Saturday 14th February and were gunned down 3-1, James Kellock notching City of Bath’s consolation goal.

City of Bath will be looking to put the result behind them when they resume Division 2 East action on Saturday 28th February, at home to Cheltenham 2nd XI.

The City of Bath men’s 2nd XI had a great time on Valentine’s Day, however.

With Chris Antrobus scoring twice, they thumped visitors Swindon 2nd XI 5-0 in West Men’s Saxon Division 1.

There will be floodlit hockey at the University of Bath on Friday 20th February, when Team Bath Buccaneers 2nd XI take on Clifton Robinsons 2nd XI in the West Men’s Premier (7.30pm).
