Bath 1st XI to start competitive season with cup tie this weekend

Bath 1st XI will commence their competitive season on Sunday 26th April when they face Salisbury-based South Wilts at North Parade in ECB National Club Championship Group 9 (1pm).

The hosts, who are captained by Harry Ellison for 2026, will begin their West of England Premier League Premier 1 campaign the following weekend. They will visit Bristol in their opener on Saturday 2nd May (noon).

Bath’s final pre-season game will be against Corsham at North Parade on Saturday 25th April (noon).

In their other friendlies, all at North Parade, the Somerset outfit lost to Midsomer Norton by one wicket on Saturday 11th April, crashed to Guildford by 108 runs on Saturday 18th April and then gained revenge over the Surrey men by beating them by six wickets on Sunday 19th April.

Bath 1st XI’s 2026 league fixtures:

May: 2nd Bristol (A), 9th Bridgwater (H), 16th Frocester (A), 23rd Midsomer Norton (H), 30th Thornbury (A).

June: 6th Potterne (H), 13th Bedminster (A), 20th Dumbleton (A), 27th Burbidge & Easton Royal (H).

July: 4th Bristol (H), 11th Bridgwater (A), 18th Frocester (H), 25th Midsomer Norton (A).

August: 1st Thornbury (H), 8th Potterne (A), 15th Bedminster (H), 22nd Dumbleton (H), 29th Burbage & Easton Royal (A).

Lansdown will stage their Chairman’s XI versus President’s XI match on 25th April (noon).

The Combe Park club’s 1st XI will commence their West of England Premier League Premier 2 Bristol/Somerset season with a trip to Weston-super-Mare on 2nd May (noon).

May: 2nd Weston-super-Mare (A), 9th Twyford House (H), 16th Taunton St Andrews (H), 23rd Golden Hill (A), 30th Clevedon (H).

June: 6th Congresbury (A), 13th Taunton Deane (H), 20th Old Bristolians Westbury (A), 27th Downend (H).

July: 4th Weston-super-Mare (H), 11th Twyford House (A), 18th Taunton St Andrews (A), 25th Golden Hill (H).

August: 1st Clevedon (A), 8th Congresbury (H), 15th Taunton Deane (A), 22nd Old Bristolians Westbury (H), 29th Downend (A).

Hampset 1st XI will go to Long Ashton in their Bristol & District Cricket Association Division 3 opener on 2nd May (1pm).

June: 6th Old Bristolians Westbury 2nd XI (H), 13th Carsons & Mangotsfield (A), 20th Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury 2nd XI (A), 27th Winterbourne 2nd XI (H).

July: 4th Long Ashton (H), 11th Bristol Sri Lankans (A), 18th Frenchay 2nd XI (H), 25th Failand & Portbury (A).

August: 1st Frampton Cottrell (H), 8th Old Bristolians Westbury 2nd XI (A), 15th Carsons & Mangotsfield (H), 22nd Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury 2nd XI (H), 29th Winterbourne 2nd XI (A).

Bath Wanderers 1st XI will start their push for a fourth successive West of England Premier League Women’s Premier Division championship when they go to Devizes on 26th April (1pm).

The Wanderers are skippered by Emma Godman this year.
