The A367 Wellsway near the Odd Down Park & Ride has been closed by police this evening after a collision reportedly involving a motorcyclist.

Police are diverting motorists away from the scene near the Odd Down Roundabout

The incident happened near the junction of Old Fosse Road and Coombe Hay Lane, and has closed the A367 Wellsway in both directions.

An air ambulance landed at the scene at around 5.45pm.

Police are advising the road is likely to be closed for a number of hours due to the severity of the collision and for an investigation to take place.

First Bus in Bath tweeted at 6.16pm saying that bus services 14, 173, 178, 179, 184 and 379 will be severely delayed.

The public are being advised to find an alternate route away from the scene.

8.30pm update: The road has now been reopened.
