People living in the Radstock and Midsomer Norton area are being given the chance to find out about local job opportunities with a series of new mini-recruitment fairs.

Organised by award-winning home care business, Bluebird Care (Bath & North East Somerset), the events will give information about working for the care sector, and the benefits provided.

With offices on the edge of Midsomer Norton and in central Bath, Bluebird Care already employs 80 staff who provide care and support to the elderly, people with physical disabilities and adults with learning disabilities.

Managing Director, Tim Rowland-Jones said: “Employing committed and passionate care staff has been a huge part of our success.

“We will only ever be as good as the staff we employ and our staff are excellent! They are always professional and have real empathy for the people they look after.

“This year we’ll be taking our recruitment opportunities out into the community, with our new pop-up recruitment fairs.

“If you see us, feel free to join us for a coffee and a friendly chat about what employment opportunities we have for you.”

The first event will take place at the newly refurbished Victoria Hall in Radstock on Wednesday 22nd January from 9 am – 2 pm. With Bluebird Care staff on hand to talk to interested residents, the Hall’s coffee bar will be open providing tea, coffee and refreshments.

George Hill is the Artistic Director of the Victoria Hall. He added: “We have a huge range of events, exhibits and shows coming up this year. All of them will offer something to the community which will meet the long held desire to make Victoria Hall available to everyone.

“We are pleased to be working with Bluebird Care in enabling more people to find employment in our area.”

Bluebird Care is a national provider of care in the home. They specialise in working with customers who suffer from dementia, physical and learning disabilities, and work alongside their families, Social Services, GPs and Primary Care Trusts to ensure each person receives the care they need.

Bluebird Care offers a unique service of tailored care visits which range from anything from 15 minutes to full live-in support. As well as personal care they also help with meal preparation, welfare checks, shopping, social trips, visits to the hospital and provide extra support for post-discharge customers.

Anyone interested in finding out about working for Bluebird Care can attend the pop up recruitment fair or call 01761 410126, email [email protected] or visit www.bluebirdcare.co.uk/north_east_somerset
