Due to falling attendance and increasing costs, the Synod sold off the site to invest in its other churches in Bath, at Rush Hill and Larkhall. The sale was completed last June.
In December Bedstone Developments (Argyle) Ltd won planning permission to turn the church itself, accessed via Argyle Street, into a mix of community and commercial use.

Now Bath & North East Somerset Council has granted permission to the same developers to carry out internal and external alterations to convert the rooms previously used for a Sunday school into a mix of one, two and three-bed apartments over three floors, accessed via Grove Street.
No interlinking is proposed between the two separate developments.
The accommodation scheme includes the installation of an air-source heat pump.
The reduction in CO2 resulting from the installation of energy-efficient measures equates to 26%, which significantly outweighs the policy requirement of 10%.
