Police Appeal After Motorcyclist Injured In Crash

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision near Box on Wednesday afternoon (19th February).

At approximately 3.57pm, a two vehicle collision occurred on the A4 Bath Road at the junction with Shockerwick Lane between Box and Batheaston.

The crash involved a blue Ford Transit Van and a black Yamaha motorcycle both of which were travelling south towards Batheaston.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man from Melksham, is believed to have suffered serious spinal and arm injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or events immediately prior to the collision, should contact PC David Williams of the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wiltshire Police.
