Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for information to trace a man after a woman reported she had been sexually assaulted in Larkhall.

It happened soon after midnight on Saturday 13th September in the Spring Lane area.

The 28-year-old woman was walking home along Charlcomobe Lane when she met a man she recognised from earlier that evening from outside the Larkhall Liberal Club.

They walked down to the bottom of Spring Lane where they parted, the woman heading for a footpath behind Uphill Road.

She was then grabbed from behind, pushed to the ground and assaulted. Her attacker then walked away towards Spring Lane.

He is described as white, in his 40s, short, of heavy build, with fair hair in a long mullet-style at the back.

He was wearing light blue jeans and a green or khaki T-shirt.

Anyone who recognises the man from the description, or who may have any information, is asked to call Bath CID on 101 quoting crime reference number 95016/14.
