Firefighters from Bath’s fire station rescued a man from his flat yesterday evening, after a fire broke out in the property in Armes Court in Widcombe.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 9.13pm last night.
On arrival, firefighters had to force entry to the second floor flat.
Two of the firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the property and found a man, who was conscious and breathing.
He was taken to safety and checked over by ambulance crews, but did not go to hospital.
Crews dealt with fire using a high pressure hose reel.
It’s thought the fire started accidentally.
