Patients and visitors using the Fracture and Orthopaedic Clinic at the RUH in Bath are being advised to allow extra time to arrive for appointments from Monday 2nd October.
Essential building work is starting on a new extension to the nearby Radiology Department to house two new CT and MRI scanners.
This means that the access road to the Fracture and Orthopaedic Clinic will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles from Monday 2nd October and will stay closed until January 2018.
It may need to be closed or disrupted again until the new RNHRD and Therapies Centre building is complete in summer 2019.
During the road closure, alternative access arrangements will be made for patients inside the hospital and direction signs erected to show the way.
Patients with difficulty walking from the main entrance to the clinic can ask for assistance at the main reception desk, where porters and wheelchairs have been arranged.
