Firefighters have rescued a woman in her 50s who was trapped in her car following a road traffic collision on Dunkerton Hill in Dunkerton near Bath yesterday evening.

Three fire engines from Bath’s fire station and Radstock were called to the incident yesterday evening, at around 7.15pm, which left one car on its roof.

Firefighters worked first to stabilise the car before using hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue a lady aged in her 50s who was trapped inside.

Once freed she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
