Avon Fire & Rescue firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have been tackling the fire, with the turntable ladder appliance also attending the scene.

Police closed off Westgate Street, with fire appliances blocking the road outside the Theatre Royal.

The fire is believed to have been brought under control at around 8.50pm.
