Collision on Lower Bristol Road in Bath sees driver taken to hospital

A driver has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a number of vehicles on the Lower Bristol Road in Bath.

Emergency services were called to the scene near River Place shortly before 11.30am today, Monday 2nd March.

The driver of a BMW appears to have collided with at least four vehicles, before coming to a stop in the front of flat-bed van.

A spokesperson from Avon & Somerset Police told the Echo: “We were called to a collision involving two vehicles on the A36 Lower Bristol Road, Twerton, at around 11.35am today.

“One man has been taken to hospital for treatment.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11.23am on Monday 2nd March to a road traffic collision in Bath.

“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Royal United Hospital Bath.”
