Bath Spa University is holding an art auction to raise funds for its art and design students, taking place on Thursday 24th March at The Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel from 7.30pm.
The Corsham52 Art Auction is named after a group of artists who are all former students of the Bath Academy of Art, now Bath Spa University’s Bath School of Art and Design.
They all attended between 1964 and 1967.
The artists including iconic oil painter Len Tabner, have donated various works for the auction including paintings, ceramics, carvings and sculptures during the course of the evening.
Naomi Box, Bath Spa Development Manager, said: “The Corsham52 event promises to be a very special evening and we’d be delighted if you could attend.
“We will have a huge variety of unique artworks available to buy from a group of extremely talented artists who all met while studying at the Bath Academy of Art.”
Each artist will donate at least half of the proceeds from the sale of their pieces to support students at Bath Spa University’s Bath School of Art and Design.
This includes scholarships, and grants, which help students with travel and material costs so they can fulfil their potential while studying at Bath Spa University.
The auction is generously supported by Santander Universities, and you can preview the artworks up for auction here www.bathspalive.com/corsham52/online
