Liam Waugh, 30, of no fixed address and Michael Warman, 38, from Bideford in Devon, were sentenced for their role in the arson attack at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, 31st August.
Waugh admitted conspiracy to commit arson at Morris barbers’ in Saltford and a second premises – Just Good Tattoos in Bath.
Both offences happened within the space of 90 minutes in the early hours of 9th August 2017.
He was sentenced to three years and eight months’ imprisonment.
Following a trial, Warman was convicted of carrying out the arson at Morris barbers’, but he was cleared of any involvement in the Bath incident.
He was also convicted of possessing a disguised firearm. He was jailed for two years and nine months.
Investigating officer DC Mark Gilbert said: “These arson attacks caused substantial damage to two businesses and it was clear from the start they were linked, with an accelerant poured through the letterbox in both incidents.
“Waugh admitted his involvement in both offences while Warman has been convicted of the arson attack at the Saltford premises.
“We also found Warman in possession of an illegal stun gun which was disguised as a torch.
“Neither of them have given any explanation for their actions but we believe these were a clear attempt at intimidating local businesses in the community.
“We welcome the sentences given out by the court today and want to reassure the local community that we’re committed to tackling all forms of organised crime and will always seek to bring offenders to justice.”
