Two men have been arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis after police in Bath conducted a Misuse of Drugs warrant yesterday morning (Monday 5th October) in Odd Down.

The men, aged 51 and 27, were arrested at a house in Cranmore Place, Odd Down.

A small amount of herbal cannabis was seized and officers found two rooms, in the attic and in an outhouse, set up for growing cannabis.

The factory equipment, including heating lights, reflective panels and cultivation trays, was dismantled and taken away by members of Avon and Somerset Police’s Operation Viscount, a specialist team dedicated to tackling cannabis production across the force area.

Sgt Tony Unthank, of Bath police who led the warrant, said: “This was a significant discovery in an apparently normal and lived-in family home.

“Cannabis production and dealing is a serious crime and this shows that we take it seriously and will take action to disrupt it.

“Our enquiries in this case continue. Anyone with any information which could help our investigation is asked to get in touch through the website or by calling 101 quoting reference 5215012311.”
