Avon and Somerset Police have said that another human foot has been located in Bath, and has now been sent for forensic analysis following two similar discoveries earlier this year.
The foot was found in the garden of a property on Cranwells Park at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
At this stage, officers are keeping an open mind as to whether or not this is linked to the previous two similar incidents in the city.
The first foot was found in Weston Park East in February while the second was discovered in a garden of a property on Weston Park in July.
All three feet have been found within a few hundred yards of each other.
Following a comprehensive investigation it was concluded that the first foot was more than likely to be an exhibit from a medical or educational establishment and was not the result of a crime.
It is anticipated that the second foot, which is still undergoing tests, is likely to be linked to this.
The same officers are looking into the latest discoveries and will look to confirm beyond all reasonable doubt that they are linked and if there are any new lines of inquiry which can be taken forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police immediately on 101 and quote log number 558 of 3rd August.
