A third suspect has been arrested and released on police bail in connection with a robbery at the Post Office in Hinton Charterhouse on Friday 23rd September.

A 30-year-old man from Bath was arrested at around 1pm on Friday 30th September and later released on police bail while the police investigation continues.

Two other men from Bath, aged 26 and 29 , previously arrested in connection with the incident, remain on police bail.

The robbery involved a group of men who went into the Post Office at about 12.30pm on Friday 23rd September and demanded money. A quantity of cash was stolen.

No one was hurt in the incident, although staff were left shaken, and are being supported by officers.

All three men are also on police bail in connection with a burglary in Midsomer Norton on Thursday 22nd September and non-dwelling burglary, relating to the damage to a shop front and ATM in Ebenezer Terrace, Bath, also on Thursday 22nd September.

Police enquiries continue and anyone with any information which could help the investigation is asked to get in touch through the police online form at www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5216212245.

Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call.
