Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was hit by a car in a fail to stop collision on Sunday 28th March at around 9.45pm.

The incident happened on Mount Road in the Southdown area of the city.

A black Honda Civic, with a 2006 plate, failed to stop after hitting the 33-year-old, who suffered serious injuries. The Wiltshire Air Ambulance helicopter attended the scene.

The Honda was later found in Knobsbury Lane, Writhlington, near Radstock and has been recovered by police.

Anyone who saw the car being driven or left, or who may have dashcam footage that could help the police with their investigation is asked to contact detectives via 101, quoting reference number 5221066534.
