Police launch appeal after 80-year-old man assaulted in central Bath

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after an 80-year-old man was assaulted in Bath city centre.

The victim fell to the ground, banging his head and suffering cuts to his knuckles during an incident in Argyle Street at around 3.45pm on Saturday 21st February.

A woman, believed to be around 50 years old and accompanied by a dog, is reported to have assaulted the man.

Officers are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has information that could help the investigation, to come forward.

CCTV checks and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out while investigations continue.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 5226049679, or complete the online appeals form, also quoting the same reference.
