A 33-year-old Bristol man has appeared before Bath magistrates charged with unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm.

William George was in court on Wednesday 11th February accused of attacking James Maisey at Bath Racecourse on 24th May 2024, causing a serious eye injury.
Magistrates sent the case to Bristol Crown Court for trial and granted George, of Novers Park Road in Knowle, unconditional bail.
He will appear there for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 16th March.
