Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal to trace the movements of a man who was taken ill in the centre of Bath and is currently in a serious condition in hospital.
House-to-house enquiries were carried out in Riverside Gardens, Bath, on Tuesday afternoon, 12th September.
The man is believed to have been in Avon Street at around 6.45am and the Riverside Gardens area at around 7.30am on Tuesday, before being taken ill shortly after 8am. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Sometime later, the hospital contacted officers to say the man was believed to have sustained a head injury.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen him and are keeping an open mind as to whether any offences have taken place.
The man was described as white, aged about 50, and wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. He may have appeared drunk.
