Avon and Somerset Police are investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a 16-year-old schoolgirl in Royal Victoria Park on Tuesday morning (5th May) at approximately 8.20am.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the Gravel Walk area.
As a result of swift police work, a 33-year-old man was arrested on the same day in connection with the incident.
He remains in custody.
Officers are asking anyone who was in the Gravel Walk or Royal Victoria Park area of Bath between 8am and 8.30am and who saw anything suspicious to contact them on 101 quoting reference 46038/15.
