Avon and Somerset Police are asking for help from the public to establish how a man in his 50s received a head injury following a disturbance in Bath last night.
A member of the public called police just before 11.30pm on Tuesday 26th February. They reported hearing a disturbance by the canal near Caroline Buildings, Bath.
Officers attended and searched the area. They found a man lying on the ground at around 11.50pm.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he is getting treatment for a head injury.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone with information about how this man, believed to be a member of the street community in his 50s, came by his injury.
