Avon and Somerset Police are asking for help to track down a man who attempted to rob a convenience store in Southdown Road in Bath on Good Friday, 14 April.
A woman was working alone in the shop when the man entered at about 4.10pm. His face was covered with a black balaclava, his head was covered with a hood and he was carrying a knife with a four inch blade.
He asked the woman to put money in the bag, but made off empty-handed when she pressed her panic alarm button. He ran off on foot towards Sladebrook Road.
The suspect is described as being 5ft 7ins tall and slim. He wore a blue hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and black gloves and was carrying a white Tesco-branded carrier bag.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information about the incident, or who was in the Southdown Road area on Friday afternoon, 14th April.
