Around £2,000 worth of goods were stolen during a burglary at a builders’ merchants on the Lower Bristol Road in Bath last weekend.

Offenders broke into Kellaway Building Supplies in Turnpike Yard, Lower Bristol Road, sometime between 4.30pm on Saturday 27th August and 6.30am on Monday 29th August.

Investigating officer PC Stephen Wilson said: “It would have taken the offenders a lot of time to commit this burglary so it’s highly likely they will have been seen by people driving or walking along Lower Bristol Road.

“Once they’d broken in, they hot-wired a forklift truck to move a concrete block so they could access the site and then loaded a large van or flatbed lorry with a large number of fence panels and concrete posts.

“Did you see any activity in this yard between Saturday evening and early Monday morning? Did you see a large van or flatbed lorry leaving the premises?”

If you can help, call PC Wilson via 101 and quote reference 5216191973.
