Temporary changes are being made to both vehicle and pedestrian access to Charlotte Street Car Park in Bath next month, due to electricity works by Western Power Distribution.

From Tuesday 13th October – Thursday 23rd October, vehicle access via Charlotte Street will be entrance only, with vehicles exiting via Marlborough Buildings.

The footpath leading out of the city centre will be closed and a barriered walkway will be put in place.

The footpath toward the city centre will remain unaffected.

Councillor Joanna Wright, cabinet member for Transport Services, said: “These temporary changes are needed to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians while Western Power carries out essential work.

“Additional signs will be put up re-directing people and vehicles to the temporary new routes.”

Western Power will be writing to residents and businesses in Charlotte Street advising them that road access to the rear of their properties via the car park will be restricted for one day during the works.

Resident’s power supplies will not be affected.
