The Community Wellbeing Hub, which operates across Bath and North East Somerset, is to continue offering its services to people who are clinically extremely vulnerable and their families.
The Hub was set up last year in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and offers a range of support to residents on issues such as accessing food, transport and medication.
Residents are being reminded that they can still access the Hub for help, support and advice, despite the rules around shielding ending last month as part of the Government’s Roadmap out of lockdown.
Cllr Rob Appleyard, former cabinet member for Adult Services and Health at Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “We understand that many of people will be anxious about the recent changes to shielding and returning to some kind of normality.
“The past year has been a difficult time for so many clinically extremely vulnerable people and their families. And we want to reassure people that the Community Wellbeing Hub will continue to be there for people.”
Kate Morton, Chief Executive of Bath Mind and Chair of 3SG, added: “It is important that we continue to support people as we move out of lockdown to help them reconnect.
“We appreciate that people will be anxious about making those initial steps and we want to offer some practical support to make the journey out of lockdown as easy as possible.”
You can contact the hub from Monday-Friday, and between 9am-5pm, by:
