The SouthGate Bath shopping centre will welcome seasonal characters this weekend, offering a range of spring-themed games with an educational twist.

Queen Bee and Polly Nator will teach shoppers the Royal Jelly Wave, as well as highlighting the importance of protecting bees, offering packets of wildflower seeds to visitors to take away and plant at home.

The pair will be at the centre on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March.

Guy Henderson, centre director at SouthGate Bath, said: “Spring has certainly sprung at SouthGate Bath, and we can’t wait to kick off the season with some engaging activities for our shoppers.

“Our character visits always prove a hit, so we’re looking forward building on the success of the Rococo Loco crew’s visit by welcoming Queen Bee and Polly Nator to the centre to spread joy and smiles this weekend.”

This latest event follows the successful visit of the Rococo Loco crew on Mother’s Day, who greeted visitors with fluttering fans and wigs.

All proceeds from the donations which were given on Sunday will go to The Nest Project, a charity providing free clothing, equipment and toiletries to children under the age of five in Bath and North East Somerset.
