The latest of the successful ‘Soulful Sunday’ workshops will be coming to Bath later this month, promoting positive mental health and mindfulness.

The event will be held on Sunday 14th May from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at the Percy Community Centre on New King Street.

Attendees will be encouraged to take up mantra meditation through the practice of kirtan yoga, a tradition originating from India that has grown in popularity throughout the world.

The event is organised by Nathan Hartley, who leads the team at the Bath & North East Somerset Faith Foundation, and aims to provide an opportunity for attendees to recharge and feel more positive and hopeful about life.

He said: “Life is often far too hectic. Work, family and other responsibilities rarely give us the opportunity to take time out for ourselves.

“‘Me time’ is essential! If we don’t look after ourselves what good are we to those around us?

“Our Soulful Sunday event is an afternoon of blissful meditation that, through the practice of chanting and yoga, will be an oasis for anyone who comes along.”

The event will include a nutritious vegetarian/vegan meal and is free of charge and open to anyone who wishes to attend.

The event is funded by Westhill, an organisation that supports community initiatives promoting social cohesion and tackling isolation across the UK.
