Bath & North East Somerset Council is advising people that the children’s play area in Hedgemead Park, Bath, is temporarily closed-off due to leakage of waste from a sewer that runs underneath the play area.

The Council and Wessex Water are currently investigating the issue and are working to resolve it so that the play area can be reopened as soon as possible.

The Council asks parents and children to respect the temporary closure and not to enter the closed-off play area while the issue is being resolved.

The Echo expects an update from B&NES Council and Wessex Water later today.
