The village of Peasedown St John near Bath will once again have a full-time, permanent Post Office from next month, it has been announced.

The Post Office has been operating from The Hive Community Centre in Peasedown St John

The Post Office will be returning to its former site on 45 Bath Road in Peasedown, where it was based until the store, which had operated the branch, closed down.

It will open to the public from Tuesday 18th April.

The new Post Office will replace the temporary branch that is currently operating from The Hive Community Centre. This will cease on Monday 17th April at 3pm.

The new opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, 8am – 5pm.

This is an extra 18 hours a week than currently provided, including Saturday afternoon, earlier opening and later closing.

Graham Brander, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to soon be restoring a full-time, permanent Post Office to Peasedown St John.

“We want to thank The Hive Community Centre for providing space for the pop-up Post Office in the interim.”
