Locals residents are being given the chance to design their own library card in an artistic competition with Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The Design a Library Card competition involves two categories, one for adults and one for children, and the winning design for each category will be used on the new library membership cards.
It is open now to all members of any Bath and North East Somerset library and membership is free for anyone who wants to sign up.
Library staff judges are looking for original creative designs or photographs that represent libraries, community, literature and reading.
Councillor Martin Veal (Conservative, Bathavon North), Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “This is a great creative opportunity for local people to be involved and to design something a little different to be put into print on Library Service’s new cards.
“We’re all looking forward to receiving lots of inspiring entries.”
All entries for the competition must be either handed in to Bath Central Library or emailed to [email protected] by Friday, 1st April, 2016.
An exhibition of all the entries and winning designs will be held at Bath Central Library in May 2016, after judging has closed.
