Dorothy House Hospice Care is inviting local residents to join them for an exciting new 5km fun run in aid of the charity at Odd Down Sports Ground in Bath on Sunday 13th October.

Organisers are encouraging those taking part in the timed and measured run to dress in lycra or pyjamas – the choice is yours.

All participants will receive a free breakfast bap at the end, plus a mug with a free hot drink as a well-deserved reward.

The fun run route consists of loops around a cycling track along a relatively flat course, which takes place on tarmac and is easily accessible for runners and spectators.

Entry costs £15 for adults (aged 17 years+), £5 for children (aged 2-16 years), £35 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) and free for children aged under 2 years.

There will be breakfast-themed prizes for winners of age categories plus best-dressed child and adult.

The event is being held to raise money for Dorothy House. Runners don’t have to raise sponsorship but all monies raised makes a difference to the charity. £28 could pay for one hour of Nurse Specialist time delivering care to patients in the local community.

You can sign up at www.bigbreakfast5k.org.uk.
