Following the success of their programme of Open Gardens last year, Dorothy House Hospice Care is launching a new series of outdoor musical events this summer called ‘Music In The Garden.’

Each of the five fundraising events in the series offers a different musical genre to suit a range of audiences and will be held in beautiful gardens provided by supporters of the Hospice.

The events are planned in Warminster, Wingfield, Chippenham, Farleigh Hungerford and Bath and will help raise vital funds for Dorothy House to care for patients with a life-limiting condition, their families and carers.

The first event is a Picnic and Blues evening held on Saturday 17th June taking place at Jobs Mill, Warminster between 6.30-10pm with music by globally renowned guitarist and singer, Innes Sibun.

Innes has toured with Robert Plant among numerous famous bands and is currently on tour with his own band.

Describing his talent Classic Rock Magazine said: “Innes Sibun is the best sort of musician: overflowing with ideas and energy sure, but drawing on a deep wellspring of feeling that’s undeniable and immediately infectious.”

Refreshments will be available to purchase and you can bring a picnic to make an evening of it. Parking is available and the garden has disabled access.

For details of other music events this Summer see below and to book your tickets, visit: www.dorothyhouse.org.uk/events/Blues.

Dorothy House Hospice Care provides free palliative and end of life care from early diagnosis onwards to patients, their families and carers across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Wiltshire and Somerset.

Yvonne Brunton, Community Fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care said: “Our ‘Music In the Garden’ series  offers five events to suit different musical tastes and audiences so we hope there’ll be something for everyone.

“Our first event on 17th June features blues music from the amazing guitarist and singer, Innes Sibun, we are absolutely thrilled Innes has agreed to support Dorothy House by performing for us in this most beautiful garden kindly hosted by Silvy and Ian Thynne. This is an evening most definitely not to be missed.”

You can see event listings, more information and book your tickets via: www.dorothyhouse.org.uk/events or call 01225 721 480.
