Avon and Somerset Police are appealing to the public for information following an incident in Charmy Down near Bath, in which a cow was mutilated.
During a livestock check, a farmer found one of the cattle deceased. Parts of the animal’s face and the tongue had been removed with a significant degree of precision.
Officers believe this happened overnight on 10th-11th June.
Police say it’s an unusual and distressing incident and they are keen to hear from anyone who may have information.
