The next Keynsham Area Forum meeting takes place on Wednesday 28th September at 6pm, in the Community Space at Market Walk in Keynsham.

The meeting is open to the public, and is divided into formal and informal sessions.

During the informal session there will be presentations from Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Waste Services team about planned changes to refuse collections in Autumn 2017; an update from Avon & Somerset Police and from the Village Agents about their work providing advice and support services in the area.

The formal part of the meeting will include a presentation from Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Drainage and Flooding Team and the Environment Agency on managing flooding, and also an update from the Council’s Customer Services team about libraries.

Councillor Alan Hale, Chair of the Keynsham Area Forum, said: “We would like to encourage as many people as possible to attend the Forum.

“It provides everyone with a chance to find out more about what is happening in our area as well as an opportunity to comment on the issues that matter most to us.”

Keynsham Area Forum covers the town and villages of: Keynsham, Chelwood, Compton Dando, Corston, Farmborough, Saltford, Whitchurch, Marksbury.

Community groups in the area who would like to attend a future meeting and share their stories, successes or seek support  are invited to contact Alison Wells on [email protected] or 01225 396539.

The Area Forums bring together public services, local organisations and residents to address the areas of local concern in the community.

They also provide a useful channel for local residents to raise concerns with partners such as the Police and the Council.
