The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) will be the official charity for Bath Racecourse’s Light Up Lansdown fireworks and bonfire night on Friday 2nd November.
Light Up Lansdown is an evening of family entertainment, including fairground rides and other children’s entertainment, a bonfire and fireworks display.
You can buy VIP tickets for the event through GWAAC here.
If you buy your ticket through Great Western Air Ambulance Charity you will be supporting their life-saving work and urgent appeal to buy their new air base.
You’ll also get VIP access to the GWAAC hosted roof terrace, where you can enjoy the view and mingle with GWAAC crew, staff and volunteers.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to step inside the virtual helicopter and experience their air base through the power of Virtual Reality.
Adult tickets cost £5, child tickets cost £3 (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) and family tickets will cost £15 (2 adults, 2 children under 16).
Ian Cantoni, Community Fundraising Coordinator for GWAAC said: “We’re really excited to be a part of the Light Up Lansdown event this year.
“Bath is such an iconic city and everyone loves a good bonfire night and fireworks display! We are so glad to have been chosen as Light Up Lansdown’s charity this year – come along to hear about what we do and meet some of our specialist crew.”
Bath Racecourse Sales and Marketing Manager, Maddie Difazio-Wright, said: “As in previous years we have planned to have a huge amount of family entertainment on the night, which will build excitement ahead of the lighting of another big bonfire and amazing fireworks.
“We’re thrilled to have GWAAC on board as our chosen charity for the evening.”
GWAAC provide the Critical Care and air ambulance service for people across Bath & North East Somerset and surrounding areas. In 2017 they attended 97 incidents in B&NES alone.
The charity receives no day to day funding from the Government or National Lottery, relying on fundraising and donations entirely.
The family fun fair and entertainment starts from 5pm, with the lighting of the bonfire taking place before a huge fireworks display at approximately 7.45pm.
