People are being encouraged to take steps to save money on their energy bills during Big Energy Savings Week; a national campaign taking place between 27th – 31st January 2014.
People can cut their bills and reduce the amount of energy they use by following these simple actions:
- Check – contact your current supplier to make sure you are on the best tariff and payment method for your circumstances, and that you are getting all the support you are entitled to.
- Switch – Use a switching service to see if you could get a better deal with a different supplier. Shopping around could save up to £200 if you haven’t switched before.
- Insulate – Whether you are a home owner or a private renting tenant, the B&NES Energy@Home Starter Project is providing grants for insulation and heating upgrades. Freephone 0800 082 2234 / visit www.cse.org.uk/energy-at-home
