A new premium fitness studio will open in the centre of Bath today, thanks to the work and support from the Leisure team at local law firm Royds Withy King.

Arron Collins-Thomas, an experienced personal trainer and lifestyle coach, whose track record includes working at the prestigious members’ club and hotel Babington House, has personally invested in the company and attracted funds from an angel investor to open the new ToniqLife studio, which will provide a high-end group exercise experience to corporate and private clients.

Corporate lawyer Edward Chapman from Royds Withy King helped Arron and his fellow shareholders to structure the company and establish the way in which the investment will be governed.

His colleague, Real Estate lawyer Richard Gorham, negotiated and agreed the lease of the premises at 5 Green Park House from Bath Spa University in time for a comprehensive fit out ahead of the gym’s opening today, 13th August.

Talking about the new fitness studio, Ed said: “Fitness classes are increasingly a social experience, and the setting plays a very important role.

“ToniqLife’s tailored group sessions in a high-end environment reflect this wider trend and are a natural fit for the city.

“Class-led fitness communities are thriving in cities across the UK, having arrived from the USA and Australia, and now is the ideal time to bring the concept to Bath.”

Arron, who has taken on the role of Fitness Director at ToniqLife, will also be offering a range of exclusive fitness, nutrition and lifestyle services designed to improve health and wellbeing.

He said: “ToniqLife is a concept and project I am very passionate about and seeing the new studio come to life over these last few months has been extremely exciting.

“This is going to be so much than just another gym. ToniqLife is about a dedicated, healthier way of living; one that doesn’t just make you look good, but feel good too.

“I am grateful for the professional support I’ve had from Royds Withy King and look forward to welcoming Bath residents into our space at 5 Green Park House.”
