Bath-based housing and support organisation Curo is in the running for the title of West of England Business of the Year, after being shortlisted alongside companies from across the South West of England.

Curo is through to finals of the PwC West of England Business of the Year Award.

The prestigious awards, now in their 28th year, recognise the importance of the West region to the UK economy.

Donna Baddeley, Curo’s Executive Director of Corporate Services, said: “We’re thrilled to be in the finals of these prestigious awards. We’re an innovative and ambitious business, and one with a heart.

“We drive profits through our commercial activities to reinvest in our social purpose, while increasing prosperity for the local area. It’s fantastic to be recognised for the contribution we’re making in the West.”

Katharine Finn, PwC regional leader for the West and Wales, said: “The short-listed companies represent the very best of business in the West of England. These businesses have created fantastic opportunities for themselves and those they employ.

“They are to be celebrated and recognised for their contribution to not only the regional economy but to the UK and overseas.”

The finalists have been selected by an independent judging panel from a diverse range of business award entrants.

The awards will be presented at a gala dinner in Bristol on Wednesday 6th July 2016.
