Bath Racecourse has reported the best start to its season in three years, recording a growth in sales of its corporate hospitality and sponsorship just five months into the racing season.
The 20% growth in sales of its corporate hospitality and 10% growth in sponsorship figures include non-race day events such as conferences & meetings, parties, weddings and venue hire.
Jo Hall, Executive Director at Bath Racecourse believes this sales trend, which is the closest return to pre-recession sales levels the Racecourse recorded in 2007, is indicative of the confidence returning in the local business community and that it will continue for remainder of 2015.
She said “With key events such as the Bath Business Awards and the Christmas party bookings starting to come in our order book is looking strong.
“We are also building on the success of now operating our own in-house catering which allows us to be more competitive on price and gives us an ability to be very flexible in offering bespoke packages to meet client budget and requirements.”
While racegoers gear up for Ladies Day on Saturday 22nd August, one of the Racecourse’s highest footfall days of the season, it has also firmed up the 2016 fixture list – which contains 21 fixtures including the usual season highlights of Super Saturday, Cider race night and family fun days.
